A mini enlightenment
I had a mini enlightenment today.
I checked my morning run on Strava.
It reminded me that I haven’t “kudos”-ed anyone on Freeletics recently.
/And that I should go do that now./
Here’s the mini enlightenment. I stopped. And I thought, “You know what? Just because I felt like doing that… Doesn’t mean I have to.”
Sounds so simple, but so hard to do in life.
For example, we hardly – if ever – notice how fast we jump from the trigger of a new Slack message to feeling like I have to engage in this potentially-hour-long conversation now, to actually doing so and start replying.
All without being able to stop and think, “You know what? Just because I felt like doing that… Doesn’t mean I have to.”
